Community Shakespeare of New England (CSNE) is committed to providing high-quality educational programs, performances, and special events that foster thoughtful engagement with Shakespeare and the humanities. Because our programs require advance planning, venue reservations, technology, instructional materials, and administrative support, the following policies apply to all registrations.
Enrollment and Registration
Your enrollment is confirmed when we receive full payment or a signed payment plan. Enrollment is limited, and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Refund Policy
All registrations are considered final. CSNE does not provide refunds for classes, workshops, seminars, reading groups, performances, or special events once a participant has registered.
No refunds will be issued for:
- No-shows or missed classes, discussions, and events
- Schedule conflicts or changes in personal circumstances
- Personal travel
- Withdrawal from a course after registration
- Technical difficulties on the participant’s end
- Dissatisfaction with a course format that was clearly described prior to registration
While registrations are non-refundable, participants may contact us to discuss possible accommodations. Any credit toward a future program is granted strictly on a case-by-case basis and remains solely at the discretion of CSNE.
Cancellation by CSNE
We may cancel or postpone a course due to reasons beyond our control, including insufficient enrollment, severe weather, natural disasters, or public health emergencies. If this occurs, participants will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future available date.
Online and Hybrid Programs
Many CSNE programs include online or hybrid components that use platforms such as Zoom and Slack, along with digital course materials. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have access to the technology necessary to participate. Technical difficulties on the participant’s side do not constitute grounds for a refund, though CSNE will make reasonable efforts to assist with challenges.
How to Request an Accommodation
To request a future credit or medical accommodation, please use our Contact Form or email Marie Roche at marie@communityshakespearene.org. Include your full name, course name, start date, and your request details, attaching relevant documentation for exceptional circumstances.
